THE TENTH ANNUAL NAAA PLAY READING FESTIVAL

London, England: The North American Actors Association (NAAA) is seeking new North American plays for our 10th Annual Play Reading Festival. Thanks to an exciting new relationship with the world-renowned Central School of Speech and Drama in London, this week of public performances will take place at their Webber Douglas Studio Theatre 6-11 September.

This year NAAA joins actors' union Equity and the International Federation of Actors (FIA)to focus on equal opportunities for women performers, so preference will be given to plays with strong female casts, although all plays will be considered on merit.

Following a three-stage reading process by London-based industry professionals, chosen scripts will be rehearsed by professional directors for script-in-hand readings with NAAA's professional North American actors. (Previous festival plays have gone on to further development and full productions on both sides of the Atlantic.)
